Encore Estates are a company that would rather go legal on you than go through reasonable efforts to resolve issues. One reminder email, which often get recognised as spam and they're straight off to JB Leitch. Then any attempts to contact them receive the same its in the hands of our solicitors response. I am a customer of theirs (albeit enforced) and they make no attempt to build a good relationship

I'm fighting Encore in court. They deliver an appalling level of service for a ridiculously high price. Very quick to send out their solicitors/take court action. Everyone on the development has had enough of them. Pity we can't all get together and fight them!

These people are leaches on the backside of society, the whole culture of "demands" and threats and the speed art which they involve the other parasites they employ to take things legal is disgusting. There is no place in modern society for these sorts of businesses who's default position is "everyone is out to defraud their clients". If they got their own house in order first, that would go some way to sorting out the problem. Disgusting people.

How interesting that I am experiencing the same detached contact from Encore Estate Management for my property in Cambridge. Add to their immediate procedure to 'go-legal' and emails that go to the SPAM box, I live in a very remote part of Australia without postal or internet service or at best, very unpredictable access which takes hours to access or upload.

Additionally, huge frustrations with my UK Bank and hours of phone time incurred attempting to set up online payments to Encore - still unsuccessfully, because the only solution is to 'pop into my local branch'... while located on the other side of the world. That's obviously not a solution.

Then, when finding a demand letter posted to Australia from Cambridge (arrived one month after posting) demanding payment within 7 days, I immediately contacted Encore Estate to explain circumstances causing the delay, and that a UK relative will make immediate payment, which they did. Thinking the payment was now settled, to my overwhelming horror I then receive an email (via Spam box) confirming settlement of the fees due, but demanding £414.00 payment to JB Leitch within 7 days. Another payment which can't be settled because of above complications....

Such a chronic case of corporate idiocy, unable in this day and age of International living to decipher an individual customer need in unusual circumstances. Poor, poor lack of care - and their Company Statement is: "We never forget we are managing your money on your behalf". I bet they don't. And I bet JB Leitch never forget either as they pat eachothers' fattened pockets. But of course, the 'little person' has to pay up, or the costs continue to increase - what exactly are JB Leitch being paid for? £414.00 for one email I guess.

Comment on agent fees
The fees are not the issue. It is the quality of service that matters. I estimate this one small branch is dealing with maybe up to 300 properties.

Am I the only one to notice that there are two comments dated March 26 2019? One is from "Mr Smith" saying how he was forced to pay £800 before Encore would provide the paperwork needed for him to sell his property and a second comment, same date, from "J Barry" saying that Encore had provided exemplary service. Quite a coincidence!! ...

Encore are shady! They charged me an extra £500 for allowing me to complete on my house sale! Threatened legal issues if I didn't spend it then said they'd sent a solicitors letter (which they didn't) which caused more costs! They knew I couldn't sell my house unless they released the correct paperwork so held me to ransom!!! £800 in extra costs in the end and they didn't even respond to my complaint letter!!! THIS COMPANY NEEDS INVESTIGATING FOR FRAUD!!!!! ...
