Extremely disappointed. I would not use Merrys again. An agreed fee was reneged upon. Having queried this error by telephone I was assured that this would be rectified on the final contract; it was not changed. On contacting Merrys again on completion day to tell them my solicitor wanted to check their amount, the verbal assurance was denied and I was even told, very curtly, that ‘well, we have marketed your house for you twice!' I pointed out that their original buyer letting me down was not my fault and they should have been closer to what was happening, as it in fact should never have reached that stage. After many months of now wasted time, when there was no chain in either direction, I should not have let them market my property again. Even the sale that went through had to be delayed by a month at the last moment for completion, as they clearly had not checked some facts. The fact that they cited this first lost buyer as my fault made it worse. They do not seem to keep on top of a case and take care on the client's behalf and, most importantly, the friendly manner soon goes. Beware of verbal promises and the charges made.

What agent could do to change your mind?

I'm obviously very disappointed to come across this review, as a representative of Merry's i pride myself on doing the best possible job for all our Vendors and Clients.
