My partner and I have recently moved out of a property rented out by connells. We had nothing but problem after problem whilst we were living there.
Mouldy property to begin with - we are now being charged for this.
Whenever there had been some kind of issue within the property, connells were contacted and we were ignored. We were constantly being told that we would have a call back to discuss the problem... Hours, days, even weeks later, nothing would have been sorted. We hardly ever got a call back.

We were expecting a baby 2 months into the tenancy. Our moses basket was completely riddled with mould. It was absolutely disgusting. We also had to move out of our home for a little while to get somebody in to clear out the property as it was infested with pigeon bugs!
Every piece of furniture we had has had to be taken to the dump. Wardrobes and drawers were covered in mould inside and out. A second baby moses basket also ended up covered in mould just like the first one!
We were told a lot of lies and lots of things that didn't make any sense. Our bills were running into the house next door and neither of us knew about it until we were already locked into this tenancy! A lot of stress was caused. Once our baby was born we had to move out of the property for a few weeks so that the mould would not affect our newborn.

These are just a few of the issues we had.

After our 6 months tenancy of hell we are now being charged more than half of our deposit money for pathetic damages that were already in the property when we moved in.
The way we have been treated is absolutely disgusting! Been gone since January yet we are still facibg problems with this awful company.
Would never advise anybody to rent out a property with Connells. Absolutely awful!

Fortunately ICO forced you to follow my ‘Right to Erasure’ as you clearly denied it in writing and wanted to continue sending emails and keeping our private information for 3 years. It was my mistake for not investigating your well deserved terrible public reputation before I arranged my viewing for that property. I hope you manage to improve your practice towards a more ethical and professional standard. ...
