I have grown up with the stereotypical idea of estate agents.
My brief encounters with estate agents in the past had only reinforced these opinions even further.
So, I was dreading having to go through the buying process again and also having to deal with more 'slippery' estate agents.
However, with Reeds Rains, I was pleasantly surprised.
From the very beginning there seemed to be a straightforward, clear, no nonsense approach from Rachel and Johnathan enabling me to feel reassured and confident during the purchase process.
They dealt with all my unsophisticated queries with respect, patience and understanding. I never once felt that my queries and concerns were being dismissed as unimportant.
Messages were passed on and phone calls were returned promptly and the rest of the team all seemed to know me and my property as well. They, too, we're welcoming and friendly towards me and always offered to help if Johnathan and Rachel were unavailable.
In addition to this, due to my own personal circumstances, I found elements of the process a little difficult, mainly in the area of electronic communications and all my varied requests for assistance with this, were always met with an accomodating attitude.
So, in short, I would like to say that although it' s true that the estate agent is solely acting for the person selling the property, I felt that there was a strong element of customer service towards me (the Buyer) as well, for which I am thankful.
For somebody, like myself, who needs the rough edges smoothed over when dealing with these matters, I thought Reeds Rains did very well indeed and they have managed to change my long held ideas on estate agents.
My only constructive feedback would be to add that I think Rachel could try to be more friendly when speaking on the phone.
