We were tenants of a Roger McGhee property for a little over two and a half years. We found them to be a first class letting agent from a tenant's point of view from the very start. Firstly, their fees were very reasonable when compared to some other agencies in the area (particularly the large franchises). We had a number of issues with the property in the time we rented from them, including one late night where we found ourselves without water, and numerous problems with a leaking toilet. They were always quick to provide the service we needed, and very helpful whenever we needed to contact them. We wanted to leave our lease early (as we were buying a house) and asked Roger McGhee if this would be possible. After they had contacted the landlord of the property, they negotiated a deal which was acceptable to all parties and we were able to leave with four months still outstanding of our twelve month lease. Importantly, our deposit was returned promptly. I won't single out any one particular person for specific praise, the whole team were excellent. Roger McGhee is an example of a great, local business and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any potential tenants. I imagine they provide a similar service to sellers and buyers too.
Comment on agent fees
Fees for a tenancy were very reasonable (prior to the change in the law) - don't know what they will be like going forward, but the fees compared well with other local agents.
