I have never known such bad practice! 3 times I was promised a return call from Kate and also promised she would contact the landlord. I received no calls what so ever. I complained and was promised a call from the manager. Needless to say I did not receive one from her either. I fear she didn't have guts to tell me the property had gone. What a disgrace they are to their professional. Shame on them for their unprofessionalism as they give their fellow colleagues a bad reputation and add the the stereotypical view held about estate agents. They do not earn their exorbitant fees. I would not even give them a rating of one star but the former won't be submitted without it.

I understand that you visited our office on Friday to discuss your application, however Kate was unavailable and my colleague Charlotte explained that I, the Lettings & Sales Manage would call you later that day to discuss your concerns. I did call you about 3pm on Friday on your mobile number. The phone diverted to your answering service, so I left a voicemail.
Having looked into this situation, I understand that you initially applied for a property and it was explained that there was also one more applicant that had applied and the landlord was making a decision.
As yet, the landlord is still undecided as to which applicant he would like to proceed with. I appreciate this must be very frustrating, but we cannot rush or influence him in making his decision. I do fully take on board your comments with regards to communication and will look into the reasons why your requests for a call back from Kate have gone unanswered.
With regards to your comment regarding fees, there is a considerable amount of time spent verifying and vetting applicants and preparing contracts in order to move applicants into properties. The application fee covers the administration for this service including the new right to rent checks that have to be performed on each and every applicant.
While we continue to try and work with the landlord of the property in question and try and speed up his decision as to which applicant to proceed with, we have not charged you a fee for your application.
