Truly awful experience. I really cannot believe this re-launched but strangely not rebranded firm are still trading, The 2016 proprietors I dealt with have some serious power management issues and have no respect for the client or it seems the buyers that they forget are actually paying their wages!
Of serious concern is the strange tactics used by Graham to play buyers off against each other to raise the selling price (and subsequently his commission!) to eye watering levels. This is a dangerous game that can often end (as it did in my case) in failed sales and disgruntled and disappointed buyers and sellers. Their reputation proceeds them!

Some final notes on this case: even though I was satisfied with the DPS decision in my favour, I decided I wasn't happy with the way that Douglas & Simmons handled my complaint, and re-submitted the complaint to the Property Ombudsman. The Ombudsman, after reviewing the complaint, agreed with my claim for a further small sum towards unnecessary costs I incurred during tenancy due to delayed repairs (a delay of six months).
