We made three offers on a house that we really wanted. We were sent a letter telling us that the vendors were considering our third offer, and Clive at the Sidcup branch promised to phone us to tell us of the outcome.
We waited a few days then tried to call, no answer and no one phoned us back. We kept calling and after two weeks of waiting we finally got through to find that the house we were trying to buy had been sold to someone completely different.

We are outraged because we really wanted the house and we could have put in a higher offer if we'd known, but the agent did not keep us informed of what was happening and as a result we have lost it. We are very disappoitned and we would advise people to be very careful of working with this agent.

From the sellers point of view the agent has also done a terrible job, because they should have been trying to get the best deal for the vendors, but without keeping us in the loop they have lost an extremely keen buyer and acted outside of the vendors best interests.

I would advise all vendors to avoid this agent.
What agent could do to change your mind?
At the very minimum, we would have expected the agent to keep us informed of the progress of our offer with the vendors.
