The tenant rented a property from us and is querying the level of deposit refund: The deposit was used as follows:
Deposit held 1295.00
Check out fee (previously agreed) £65.00
Cleaning of property £70.00
Balance of November rent due for the property £637.68
December rent (pro rata 1st-12th December) £327.12
Cleaning of carpets £40.00
Total charges £ 1139.80
DEPOSIT REFUNDED TO THE ONE TENANT WHO PAID HIS SHARE OF NOVEMBER RENT (the one that left this review) £155.20

A property within the same building was having treatment for dry rot and that was the reason why waste materials were present for some of the time. The landlord visited the property during these extensive works on at least 6 occasions, along with surveyors and local council, who had no issues with our management of the building. The flats are extremely well maintained. The flat was left dirty when the tenants moved out and people often use this as an excuse to slate an agent, if they had simply ...

The landlord did not charge the outgoing tenants for change of lock (all keys not returned) painting of hallway (excessively marked) and one bedroom wall (excessively marked).
The tenant has been informed that if he is unhappy with this he can dispute the refund with mydeposits.co.uk. This deposit of £1295.00 was protected under UK law and home for you always work with tenants, landlord and mydeposits to resolve and disputes as fully as possible.
