WG had assisted with the purchase of our flat, and after we left Exeter they managed it for 3 years when it was let out. They were excellent letting agents, realistic, attentive and practical. So when we decided to sell it, they were the obvious people to turn to, and we were not disappointed.
They marketed the flat intelligently and actively; and when the first sale fell through, they sprang straight back into action. (It is always a nasty shock when a transaction breaks down, so their unruffled and energetic response was very reassuring.) Their advice on marketing and pricing was both positive and realistic; and when a new sale was agreed, WG followed up assiduously at each stage, keeping close contact with our buyer and with the other parties further down the chain so that we always knew what was going on and, despite the usual bumps along the way, the sale completed successfully on the target date.
We would particularly remark on three qualities that we found in WG. First, as we are currently living abroad, and having to manage the transaction from a distance, we really needed solid agents on the ground to steer it through, and we highly valued the reliability, professionalism and responsiveness of the WG team. Second, we were impressed with their genuine teamwork. Louise, Beki, Lindsey and the others all took an active and informed interest in the transaction, and communicated well amongst themselves, so that if one of them was out of the office, someone else knew the state of play. And third, they were extremely nice people to deal with. Not only were they invariably cheerful, friendly and helpful toward us, but they really went the proverbial extra mile to help. For personal reasons, it was important for our buyer to begin moving her things into the flat as early as possible, and WG worked extremely hard to make this practically and legally possible. Problems down the chain meant that exchange happened later than planned, so Louise had to organise the clearing of the flat at the last minute, and wound up cleaning it herself at 8 pm in order for our buyer to be able to start moving things in (on a properly constructed legal base) several days before completion. That sort of practical kindness is a rare and valuable quality.
In short, we have been very happy with the service received from WG at every stage, and would unhesitatingly recommend Beki and her team!
