I have been renting with them a property in Bethnal Green and these people cannot be more useless, rude and unhelpful.
Firstly they will try to charge to a fee, of course paid in cash, at the beginning of the tenancy for which you get a lousy receipt. Secondly they are NEVER at the office when you need them. The NEVER reply to e-mails, and they do not collaborate with you at all in terms of getting things fixed in the flat, or dealing with your landlord for any reason. For example if your shower breaks in the middle of winter... it will take weeks and endless phone calls and e-mails until you get it sorted. The response that you get is so negative that I don't even know where to begin.
They come to your flat without prior notice to show it to other people, we found out when one of us where there on a rare day off during the week so god knows how many times they've done it... This is AGAINST THE LAW.
Not to mention how illiterate and dodgy they sound, write and look. It's shocking that they run a 'business'!
If after reading this you are still willing to rent any property with them... GOOD LUCK!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Besides the usual deposit and agency fees at the beginning of the tenancy you also pay a monthly fee of over a hundred pounds directly to the agency that it's direct debited from your account; it's something I have never seen before (or after) having a contract with them. If you change flatmates and get any new tenants in your flat, their fee changes on the go, whatever they feel like charging you basically.
