We were unable to sell our house in Winkleigh, mainly due to the field behind us being earmarked for development by the Parish Council in their plans that span out until 2031! The staff at Bradleys in Okehampton took time to have meetings with us to discuss our options. The advice given was not only forthright but detailed. We decided together that renting the property out would be our best option until any decision on the field behind us was forthcoming. We have been landlords now for just over a year and apart from one delay in the rent reaching our account (handled by the Exmouth office who apart from that have also been excellent) we are kept in touch with inspections of our property and any repairs or problems that have arisen. As we are now living hundreds of miles away from our house it sets our minds at rest that the management of our property is in such good hands.

Favourable fees for letting were negotiated following a period of time our house was on the sales market with Bradleys.

The agents fees were higher than some cheaper options but the final selling price achieved was much higher than the suggested marketing price of the "cheap" agents so even after the fees we were still well ahead of the competition.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). Complaints Procedure

1. Bradleys is a Member of The Property Ombudsman's Scheme and aims to provide the highest standards of service to all our Customers. To ensure that your interests are safeguarded, an Internal Complaints Procedure has been implemented. This provides for the matter to be dealt with internally by the Office Manager or the Department Head. In the event that we are not able to deal with the matter to our mutual satisfaction after following our Internal Complaints Procedure you may refer your complaint in writing to the Property Ombudsman.

2. If you believe you have a complaint, please write in the first instance to the Office Manager or the Department Head at the address of the relevant office.

3. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 3 working days, investigated thoroughly in accordance with the established in-house Procedures, and a reply sent to you within 21 working days of receipt of your letter.

4. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the initial investigation, you are provided with a further opportunity to have the complaint reviewed by our Managing Director at the address given below:
