I moved into the area from around 60 miles away and right from the get go Edward Mellor were brilliant in accommodating me for viewings when they could.

When I moved in, there were one or two problems with the house (largely caused by the previous tenants from what I can gather, not the letting agents) and Edward Mellor, who are managing the property, have dealt with everything very quickly and with the minimum of fuss.

I'm not the sort of tenant who ever really wants to have contact with the landlord/property manager; as long as my rent's paid on time there doesn't need to be any communication. So, with the amount of times I've had to contact them in the three or four weeks I've lived there I've been genuinely impressed with everyone I've dealt with.

If I need to move again I will definitely be in touch with Edward Mellor and, whilst I am a tenant of theirs, I know any issues will be dealt with quickly.
Comment on agent fees
Compared to almost every other lettings agent, the fees were pretty reasonable. Perhaps as important, is that they were up front and no hidden costs at all. At least two other agents I dealt with had additional fees after the security deposit and application fees which I had to pry out of them (having previously worked in estate agency I was fully aware of this type of thing.) The whole process was incredibly smooth and comparatively affordable.
