In response to the original review, the company who we registered the deposit with had a procedure to follow for recovery of this which can take a considerable amount of time if the outgoing tenant does not reply to their requests for information. The deposit was eventually repaid and we continue to manage the property for the person who posted the review.

In response to the comment, we moved this individual into a property on a let only basis managed by the Landlord and therefore if there were any issues in the first property, these were between this individual and his Landlord. We did move this individual into a property managed by us and there have been some maintenance works required. These have taken some time to identify but these works have been carried out...but we also feel that the lifestyle of the individual has also been a contributing factor in the condensation issues and we have provided guidance on how to help alleviate this. We have invited this individual to submit evidence in writing of the high value items which he claims to own which have been damaged on several occasions so that we can discuss this with the landlord but he has failed to do this....and if this individual wishes to discuss this matter or the rent arrears which are outstanding, then we would ask that he contact us directly rather than posting comments on a website which is not affiliated to our company, and therefore which we may not see for quite some time, as in the case of the original review on this website.

DO NOT RENT FROM AUSTERBERRY !!!! I have lived in 2 Austerberry properties and both had hidden problems. Constant mould during winter , delayed or none existant repairs. Staff are very rude, condicending and ignorant. I have attempted to claim compensation from Austerberry for damaged property which was a waste of time. Disgusting service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!
