WOW! NEVER USE THIS LETTING AGENTS!!!! me and my husband lived in one of their managed flats for two years, how we survived i will never actually know! We were left with no heating, no water and mould growing on our windows. We called and visited them pretty much every day and they didn't ever bother to help us, now we are being billed for the window. What agent could do to change your mind?
you could have actually given a shit that we were freezing, bathing in cold water and getting sick from mould damage rather than "awaiting approval" because i worked for a letting agent, and when you actually CARED approval took 3 days max and at least my clients where happy. Oh, and tell your staff to stop eating, write stuff down and get off their mobiles!!!!!! that would help LOADS.

We have had a horrible experience dealing with Penyards. We moved into a home we're renting in Hyde just a few short weeks ago. We received housing inventory paperwork the day we moved in and upon review of the documents, they were totally inaccurate. Rooms listed fireplaces and fixtures that weren't present, and many important defects were left out. We identified two basic issues within days which needed fixing and quickly; the oven only heats to 160c, and water in the shower trickles out. It's...

Taking out the lease, paperwork and getting set up was handled well and very efficient. Maintenance is lazy, reactive and indifferent. The 3 problems requiring attention prior to moving in were not done at all or were botched and contractors had to come back once we moved in. Repairing these three items prior to moving in was part of the conditions we stipulated as a condition of the lease. Since moving in other issues have come to light. Diabolical company. Have rented for over 15years UK wide and never have I met a company with such thorough disregard for both tennant and Landlord. Had to chase for weeks to get phone calls returned even in cases where urgent maintenance was required to save damage to the property on the Landlords behalf. As both a landlord and a tenant, my experience of Penyards WInchester is of rude and condescending staff, both on the phone and in the branch. When you enter the branch, they always make you wait a while before being seen even when they are not busy. Staff appear to think less of people who choose to rent property and make this abundantly clear in their attitude. Charles Saunders is a rude little boy. I haven't even used Penyards, my neighbours did, but when we had an issue affecting the land between our houses he was rude, obstructive and condescending. He was abusive to my wife on a number of occasions and oversaw a really shoddy job. Still, he's an estate agent, you can't expect much.....
