Very poor service to us as tenants. The flat was very dirty when we moved in (we provided photos as proof) although they insist that we have to get professional cleaners in when we move out. They are slow and unresponsive to maintenance queries, including smoke alarm problems and water leaks, which are bad for both tenants and landlords. I have rented two different properties now through these agents and found their service is more than satisfactory, people complaining about maintenance issues not being resolved are unaware of the issues when trying to get the go ahead from Landlords for more expensive jobs. Never have a property with them. They have asked to me to provide my previous landlord detailes and other required documents before i receive the key for a while, when i come to them asking for the keys and pay the rest of the money the refuse the give them to me becouse the prevoius landlord did not reply to them for over a month and they did not tell me that ??????? Terrible service, basically all they do is 'introduce' a buyer & leave you to it. Took me over 3 months to sell my property. They didn't chase the buyers, couldn't tell me what stage my sale was at, felt like they were helping the buyer rather than me as the seller even though I'm the one paying them. York Laurent are the most horrendous agency I have ever used, not only are their charges extortinate: admin fee, credit reference fee and an additional itinerary fee for good measure! But to top it all off god forbid anything go wrong as a response of any use will take a minimum of a month even the simple task of fitting a shower seal required 3 engineers to visit and wrong parts to be ordered. Keep tenants informed without being chased, recruit employees with a passion for service and reduce their costs due to their incredibly poor service that is offered.

This is the most unprofessional and incompetent estate agent in Birmingham. Their customer service is non-existent and trying to make contact with them is impossible. I have written three formal complaints to the Director of the company and I have received no contact from them whatsoever. I am currently taking them down a legal battle, so please, if you\'re reading this avoid the company at all costs....

I was very happy with the way York Laurent treated me. Luke showed me round a few properties, which were all very suitable to what I needed. Once I had paid my admin fee, Judy was more than accommodating in helping me with my referencing and the whole (VERY STRESSFUL) move in process. Throughout my tenancy I had various maintenance issues (which you expect with a property that isn\'t brand new). The agents initially fell over themselves to accommodate our requirements, but as soon as we signed on the dotted line, verbal agreements and assurances via email seemed to count for nothing. It took York Laurent 3 weeks longer than promised to get us into our new flat, leaving us homeless for 1.5 weeks with nowhere to store our belongings.
