The agents initially fell over themselves to accommodate our requirements, but as soon as we signed on the dotted line, verbal agreements and assurances via email seemed to count for nothing. It took York Laurent 3 weeks longer than promised to get us into our new flat, leaving us homeless for 1.5 weeks with nowhere to store our belongings. The agent made no admission of wrong-doing and no compensation was offered. After pursuing the management, we were refunded a portion of our administration fee as a \'good will gesture\' (but not before receiving cryptic and threatening text messages from the individual agent who had cocked up in the first place). If this wasn\'t enough, now we are living in the property they manage, they take on average 2 months to sort out minor maintenance issues. It is because I have just contacted them for the 4th time regarding our broken radiator that I felt compelled to write this! Dishonest and unprofessional. AVOID!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Professionalism. Keep promises. Respond in good time to correspondence.
