At first I couldn't praise the staff enough they where very friendly and helpful and as I had a few difficulties getting a mortgage there in branch mortgage advisor was very keen to help us find a suitable mortgage. However I got a mortgage elsewhere and got all the relevant paperwork in place (mortgage in principle, mortgage offer, evidence of deposit) and was told the house would be then taken off the market, however it was not and once everything was getting processed I had a phone call from Kim herself who explained to me that someone else had put a offer In and that they could get the surveyor in quicker than mine so the vendor had decided to go with them. So now I have been left trying to get my surveyor costs back as they have already been taken from my bank account as they were due to go out the beginning of next week. Absolutely mortified to think I trusted these people to
Help me with my first purchase. How wrong was I. I will never be using this estate agent again. How unethical are theses bunch of people to do this to lie and deceive me. I have not only lost money, time but faith in this estate agent. Sadly disappointed
What agent could do to change your mind?
Been more ethical

Thank you for your review. I am sorry you feel that you were lied to and deceived, but I can assure you that this was not the case and you were made aware of the situation through out.
As advised from the acceptance of your offer on 11th January 2014, the property was to remain on the market, as per Vendors instruction, until we had a call for survey access.
On the 17th February 2014 we received full proof of deposit from you and sent out the Memorandum of Sale but were still awaiting a call for survey access so the property was still being marketed and viewings still taking place.
I called you a few times to chase the survey over the next couple of weeks and I recall discussions with you stating that until we get that call the property remains on the market.
In the meanwhile another offer was placed on the property. At this stage, it had been almost 8 weeks and still no call for survey access from your mortgage lender.
Due to the time taken to that point, our clients decided to accept the other offer as they could proceed immediately.
I appreciate the survey fee may have been deducted from your account but because the survey did not take place you should be refunded.
