We paid a fee to Alan for our mortgage arrangement, but before requesting our mortgage he'd discussed all our options and gave some excellent advice about products available. He provided us with a Decision In Principle so we knew we were pretty much good to go if we went ahead with the application. I think the fee was reasonable for the amount of work Alan put in and for all of his advice.
