I presently deal with 4 letting agents in 4 different towns, and have dealt with 2 of them for over 10 years. This person has cared for 2 of my houses in Halifax for over 13 months while they were renovated to bring them up to letting standard. She has supervised and employed craftsmen, sat in her car outside the house in the snow waiting for National Grid men to arrive to fit a new gas meter, provided meter readings to me, supervised rubbish removal, arranged for cleaning, decoration, and a wide range of repairs, advised on rent, arranged advertising, shown prospective tenants, checked on account statements, taken cash payments for specified tasks, on my behalf while I was living 200 miles away. We have never met, but she and her colleagues have, without fail, positively answered every need and query that has arisen over the entire period when the Company was not earning any revenue on these houses. She let one house in August, the other is still to go. She has shown tenacity and determination to get these houses let and has always been encouraging when when we were down. In my experience, she and her colleagues have far exceeded the level of service provided by any of the other 3 agents I deal with, all of whom I visit from time to time.
