We didn\'t actually buy a property although we tried to for nearly a year. Yes. A year. The vendor was also this estate agent who accepted our offer on the basis that we sold our existing property quickly. Which we did- it was quite stressful because there was another buyer interested we were told. We then went ahead and had a survey and did all the paperwork with our solicitor and arranged a mortgage. Two months later we had been given no indication that there was anything wrong so we wanted to exchange. It was only then that they told us that the tenant wouldn\'t move out and they were having to take legal action. To cut a long story short, we gave up trying to buy ten months later. Throughout this they were terrible, we had to chase all the time for information, they told us conflicting accounts of what was happening and a different account to our solicitor. We wasted months and lost quite a lot of money. Incompetent and not straightforward in thief dealings with us
