All I can say is run in the other direction. Do not lease through this company. I have discovered that 150 of our deposit has not been deposited - amazingly no record of it being given (was told receipt would be sent in the mail as she didnt have any on her). and the T&C\'s state 700 basic plus and additional 150 pet bond. Access with their "management keys" is at will. Poor repiars - the owner does not have the money to repair. We waited almost a week without water or heating due to the water to the heating system being turned off due to a leak (system obviously not checked prior to letting) a dried out mouse under the dishwasher! We are now being billed for poor grass (in December) when the property was let in very early spring with "seasonal condition" also scuffs to the back door - claiming the dog has done it, when the schedule/inventory states "scuffs and scratches". The fence is classed as 3-4 (poor) and toppling over, but we are being billed for damage to it! The best being a light under a kitchen cupboard (they have a photograph of it being alight but held in place by tin foil), yet more billing as it did not work on the day of the inspection. Another pearl, a cracked tile in the bathroom - the photograph does not show it, I bet it doesnt, but it doesnt mean that it wasnt filled with grout at the start of the tenancy. Also the schedule/inventory is in the wrong surname (front page not altered) but others altered by hand on-site. I wonder if this makes it all null and void? DPS dispute about to begin as there is no sign of any of the deposit being returned to us.
What agent could do to change your mind?
I wish they would close shop but that is not going to happen any time soon due to their underhand tactics - my opinion but everyone else can make up their own minds.

Well that took you a while to reply. The poor reviews far outweigh anything good being said about your "organisation" Sub standard property is an area which can only be described as a snooping paradise. What makes the situation more laughable, staff from Northwood take to a slanging match on the internet - very professional. Have a nice day.

Some times tenants forget that Northwood are working for the landlord to protect a very valuable investment. and some tenants think that they are victims, rather than understanding their responsibilities. We have been doing the same things for 10 years we would never say we were perfect but while Landlords are all different, and tenants are all different, what stays the same is our service. Look at our reviews and decide for yourself where the blame lies.

The response from Northwood goes a long way to show their unprofessional approach to tenants. In my opinion they are a total disgrace. What the response failed to address was the actual invented issues with the property and the fact that there had not been "complaints" it was a single complaint by a next door neighbour as it is common knowledge that she did not wish for tenants next door on a private estate.

The damage described to the garden was caused by the tenant's dog and complaints had been received from other residents about the dog. The tenants were advised to dispute the requested deductions via the Deposit Protection Service. The requested deductions claimed by the landlord were authorised by the DPS. Northwood has a comprehensive complaints procedure which any client can instigate. This procedure goes all the way up to The Property Ombudsman.

in additiion to the above, we hae been charged £70 for seeding the grass and £50 for replacing an already broken fence panel and painting the remainder of the fence. This company is a joke. Just startng process at small claims for missing deposit and the cost of these alleged repairs.
