Incredibly disappointing service from Purplebricks. When initially looking to rent our property as we're emigrating, we were given a valuation figure, which we were quite happy with and seemed in line with other similar properties in our area. After 3 weeks of zero viewings, we were told we had a new account manager, who promptly told us our property was overvalued and we needed to drop the rental by 30% to be in line with others in the area!

As this wasn't financially feasible, we looked at selling our house instead. We asked for a certain figure, (knowing what our neighbours bought their identical home for in Dec 2018 - we are two semi-detached privately built houses) but were told that was too high and we needed to go in at a lower figure. To date, we've been on the market for nearly 4 weeks and have had 3 viewings. No feedback, no communication from Purplebricks and the potential buyers we had in the property have gone cold. I even expressly told our EA that one viewer lived in another country and couldn't reach them on their generic toll-free number and wanted to speak to someone in person, but nothing was done about it.

We are now looking to move to a high street agent. For me, the low upfront fees are not worth the hassle - you lose them even if you choose to withdraw/cancel your contract. I would much rather take a higher fee but on a no sale, no fee basis with a high street agent, who you can pick up the phone and speak to.

Avoid Purplebricks at all costs - their model is not sustainable and you will be left feeling frustrated and forgotten about.

Sorry to hear your story,bit it's an all too often recital of woe and disappointment from 80% of Purplebricks customens. Myself also!!
Could nt sell my house after 6 months on the market with these fools and 7 or 8 viewings, whilst 2 in our street had sold.
Tried renting the house through Purplebricks signed us up wurh the first client who showed interest. This was a disastrous tenancy, costing myself and partner over £1800 is losses plus six months of stress and anxiety.

STAY AWAY from them, read all the negative hype, it's not hate or jealousy or cyber bots. It's rreal people, real experiences.
