Having been a flooding victim compounded by an HPMS act of negligence myself (see my review dated 6 Feb 2020) I thought I would share some information I learned a long the way. HPMS are required to operate in compliance with the Property Factors Code of Conduct, a copy is available from 'Property Factors Scotland Act 2011 - The Scottish Government' website. the standard policy when an item needed attention was to send out their preferred supplier who may or may not have resolved the particular problem. if they hadn't, another firm would come in after that and have a go and it wasn't uncommon for a 3rd contractor to turn up and for us to be sent multiple bills for the same piece of work that hadn't been done properly in the first place. they were always very good at generating invoices i'll say that for them!
