The lack of communication from this office is ridiculous.
First of all, they never bothered to send me the check-out report until I called to ask for an update, despite the inspection being done 6 days prior.
When I did receive the report, there was nothing regarding any deductions that will need to be made. I sent an email asking for an update on this too and this was ignored.
The next day I called the office and was told I needed to agree to the discrepancies (they didn't mention this on the previous message and as mentioned above, ignored my last email). I sent another email straight after this call showing my agreement and also asked about the status of my deposit again i.e any deductions to be made etc.
I then had to wait another 2 days for a reply saying they were still obtaining quotes for the (pretty minimal) cleaning and decoration of 3 walls. This was now 11 days after the inspection was first done.
I then replied immediately asking why they were still obtaining quotes 11 days after the inspection was done. Again, this email was ignored.
The next day I called the office to find the person dealing with my case was on training all day and nothing would be done that day. As it is apparently impossible for any of the other agents in that office to take a look at another's case, I had to wait another day for an update.
The next morning I was finally sent the deductions to my deposit (apparently it costs £475 to paint 3 walls...). I replied immediately agreeing to the deductions as I just wanted to be done with these people and get whatever deposit I had remaining back. The only thing I asked was how long it would take to receive the remainder, expecting this simple inquiry would be answered pretty quickly. After several hours, I decided to email again calling out the agent dealing with me and asking if anybody else could provide an answer to my very simple question. Surprise surprise, I received a response within 10 mins from the said agent finally answering my question.
I understand these things take time but with my current financial situation, I was pretty eager to know what the status of this was.
All in all I made 5 phone calls and 5 emails and only ever received 3 responses.
The office used to be an IMS Lettings office before Leaders took over. It seems they didn't keep any of IMS' staff as they were actually helpful!
