Hi there I'm a polish national who was looking to move to Canary wharf, London for work. I have previously lived in London as a student two years ago but did not have the best experience with a rental agency. Consequently, this time I was very particular and wanted to make sure the estate agent I dealt with was HONEST and NOT LAZY.
I had sent Silver Linings a email for a few of the flats they had available in Canary Wharf. Shah replied to me and informed me only two of them were available. But As I was in Poland I could not do a viewing. Shah told me the flats were going to go very fast and had agreed to do a video viewing for me of both the flats. He spoke throughout both the videos and described all the features in the flat. I still did not want to put a holding deposit down because I wanted to see the flat in person and also wanted to view other flats in the area with other agencies.
I had viewings with 3 other agencies and as I have had a bad experience in the past with a rental agency in London. I had arranged some questions for the agents I was doing the viewings with. The other agents I asked the questions too were very rude and one even said my questions were not necessary. But Shah answered all the questions and was very polite and helpful throughout the viewing. Shah also had excellent area knowledge and even boasted that he knew every development in Canary Wharf off by heart and could tell which development a flat is in just by looking at inside pictures of the flat.
I also requested information about the company Shah works for, as I was giving a large amount of money and wanted to make sure the company was genuine and was registered with the property ombudsman. Shah was able to provide all the information very quickly, therefore I decided to put a holding deposit down and proceed to take the flat.
Silver Linings were very helpful and honest. I highly recommend them and want to thank Shah in particular for being so patient and understanding.
