I knew how stressful selling a house could be so when Michael came out to my house I decided to take their "all inclusive" package for £2750.00 + VAT therefore £3300.00 as this was inclusive of solicitor fees and most other costs incurred when selling your property.
I was assured by Michael that I would have nothing to do but sit back and leave it all to them.
The process started off great and within four days I had had three viewings and really good feedback from Pattinsons after each viewing.
I sold the house on the sixth day to a cash buyer and was informed by Pattinsons that this sale would be so straight forward.
I told Pattinsons the date that the buyer and I wanted to complete on and they said no problem as there was plenty of time for the process to be completed by the date requested.
I booked myself and my wife into the local Premier Inn for a week as I could not move into my newly built house until a week after the completion date of my sale.
I sat back, put my feet up and relaxed waiting for Pattinsons to do their job and earn the £3,300.00 fee.
BIG MISTAKE !!!!!!
After a couple of weeks and no contact from either Pattinsons or our solicitor I phoned the solicitor to inquire as to where we were in the process only to be told that Pattinsons had not instructed solicitors on either my side or the buyers side.
I had to phone solicitors constantly and keep on Pattinsons back constantly to keep the process moving forward. Far from Pattinsons doing everything for me I had to do all the chasing and had all the stress !!
My buyer threatened to pull out because of how incompetent Pattinsons were and I have ended up having to stay for three weeks in a hotel at my expense because completion was delayed due to Pattinsons incompetence.
To add insult to injury I received the breakdown from my solicitor that showed they had paid Pattinsons the full £3,300.00 and charged me £510.00 solicitors fees.
I informed Pattinsons of this and they have said it is not their mistake and that it is not them who owe me the £510.00, but the fact remains that if the £3,300.00 fee was including solicitors fees then they should have only been paid £2790.00.
The staff were totally unhelpful and unprofessional and I am now waiting for the solicitor to get my £510.00 back.
Overall Pattinsons are totally unprofessional and have not got a clue, they charge massive amounts to provide a service for which they do not provide.
DO NOT USE PATTINSONS !!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Their job and helped in the fact that they had taken full payment and also the solicitor had charged me as well, instead of telling me it's not their problem.

Highway robbery, I would have been happy to pay if they had did what they said they would do. In reality they got paid for very little work or effort by them.
