Awful company- avoid like the plague!!! Wish i had read the reviews on this site before using them! Rented a flat from this company who were a nightmare to deal with. Started our tenancy by giving the keys to contractors who lost them and had to repeatedly chase this up for weeks until they admitted the contractors had lost them and they needed to replace the lock. Flat in general was sub-standard, rotten windows and furniture all pretty much broken. At one point in our tenancy our toilet stopp...

I never usually leave reviews but I have had the most terrible experience with Dunpark that I had to. I have never dealt with such a useless and awful company. The staff are rude and unhelpful and will only reply to your emails if they need something. They regularly ignore your emails, calls and are extremely patronising. When we had problems with the flat, including broken heating and plumbing, it would take them weeks to reply to emails and even longer to fix the problem. When we arrived in ...

Firstly, I never leave reviews. Don't be fooled by the polite professional persona they may put out initially.I genuinely cannot understand how they are even in business still as a property manager A brief bullet point summarizing what you might expect from DUNPARK based on specific experience dealing with them 1. Arrogant unfriendly unhelpful staff 2. Very poor communication skills and a poorly managed office 3. Unreasonable tenancy contracts 4. There is a strong probability that they may...

Dunpark are dreadful - do not use them at all. Their admin function is non-existent and we had to resubmit signed contracts three times as they 'lost them'. They take an age to arrange any repairs - there was damp in the Kitchen at Braid Avenue property, yet for 2 years they ignored repeated requests to even have it looked at. Needless to say it was never dealt with. On checkout, it took a month to get our deposit back, as the work order for cleaning took ages to finalise (and wasn't chased by D...

I never leave reviews, but my experience was so negative that I feel I must share it. Looking at the experiences that others have had with this same agency (both on this site and other places on the web) I feel lucky that we got off as lightly as we did. They really do seem determined to fight to the bottom of the list of worst agencies in the UK. We were shown the property with a group, liked the look of it, and decided to apply. We were then contacted to say that we had been accepted and we...

Make your listings accurate. Address issues with prospective clients as soon as possible (especially if they are in the office, talking to you). Have a more streamlined deposit return policy.

From the day I moved in I experienced problems..... I was told the flat would be cleaned when I moved in and the decor redone - nothing had been done. There were cobwebs everywhere and stains on the carpets. The tumble dryer did not work, the vacuum cleaner did not work. They boiler did not work (when it was finally repaired 5 months later the electrician showed me the broken box and said it was in a dangerous state...... The oven had knobs with no temperatures on them. Could not cook properly a...

Towards the end of our tenancy, when the flat was being advertsised, the viewing agent, Amanda, let herself into our home other than at the arranged time, lost her temper when challenged and was extremely rude to us. The first prospective tenants asked us if there \'was something wrong with her\' and the second left in a hurry after she had made a scene. I would never allow that lady in my home again. I haven\'t ever dealt with any so unprofessional before....

Dear Disgruntled ex customer Thank you for reporting this incident and your feedback on our viewing agent. We have had nothing but positive remarks so far so we take this matter seriously. At the moment we do not have enough details to fully evaluate the situation. Could you please provide more details by e-mailing mail@dunpark.co.uk and provide your name, the property address and the date of this incident? We look forward to hearing from you soon.....

Worst customer service I\'ve ever experienced, staff were rude on the phone and routinely passed on to other people as it seemed the staff just didn\'t care. - Our hoover was broken at the beginning of our tenancy (July 12\') we only received a new hoover in january 13\' - After seeing several rats in out kitchen area we were told \'not to worry about it theres always mice there\' - Tried to pass off mould in the bathroom as a natural occurrence - Flat our refused to send me e-mails regar...

Unfortunately, my experience of Dunpark ties up with the other reviews I\'ve read - an fairly incompetent organisation who really don\'t care about the tenants. They\'re not in the "rogue landlord" category, but that\'s the only good thing I can say about them. A few specifics: - I\'m always paranoid about important paperwork going missing in the post, so I made a point of handing all forms, etc. into the office personally. **On the morning of the start of the tenancy**, they contact...

Just ... be on the tenant\'s side occasionally. Be proactive. Try to be helpful. Apologise if you mess up. Don\'t treat tenants (and their gripes, like broken down appliances) as an inconvenience. Your attitude stinks right now.

I lived in a flat with Dunpark for around a year. Over this time I found them to be pretty much incompetant of any basic task. Like other people have said they seem to struggle to reply to phone calls/ emails. We infact were emailing 1 individual for around 2 months before we were finally informed she had left the company. Due to the very high turnover of staff and Dunpark\'s reduced operating hours I would suggest that perhaps all is not well at the company financially. We actually got to t...

Responded to email/ phone calls, make the whole experience easier for tenants, It would have been easier providing evidence to emigrate to America than getting the flat initially.

I had the misfortune of being a tenant with this agency. The flat itself was great, but the experience with the agents was awful. They give the \'front\' of being a top class agency, but in reality, I found their service to be less than shoddy. As previous tenants have reviewed, the staff are terrible at getting back to you, problems have to be chased up daily by the tenant, and the charges upon checkout are incredibly inflated. £20 to change a lightbulb, anyone?!...

I had a bad experience with these guys last year when looking for a flat but thought maybe it was a one off, so this year when looking for a property I thought i\'d give them the benefit of the doubt. But alas they have not changed one bit they still offer the same appalling service. So this review is based on my experiences both this year and last year. This company is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. The reception staff are rude, obnoxious and full of a misplaced sense of self i...

My daughter took a short let as a single tenant on a one bedroom flat with this company and they have stilll not returned the deposit after 6 weeks. They are deducting £164.52 for cleaning and admin costs for a small flat that was cleaned before my daughter moved out. It is an old building the flat has three old high sash windows one over the sink one in the bedroom and a small window in the bathroom all on the third floor and they are charging for internal and external window cleaning....

I had a similar experience with Dunpark when leaving a flat in Sandport, Leith. I needed to get a solicitors letter to force the return of the deposit and this was successful. I suggest that you do the same. Small claims court is also a relatively good method to use against letting agents like Dunpark if it comes to that.....
