This is our first time renting through Jackson estate agency and can definitely say we will not be doing so again. It had been an up hill struggle from the beginning. After agreeing to pay a larger deposit and and 2months rent upfront to secure the property we still only had confirmation and a signed contract 1hr before moving into the property. We were given incorrect receipts recording our deposit and 2months rent, which were then redone after we pointed out there mistake. Now 1month into the tenancy we are contacted by the accounts department and told we have outstanding rent, I then personally went into the estate agency in Wimbledon to try understand how this could be and it was confirmed that we are payed up and do not owe anything as we payed 2months upfront. There seems to be little to no communication between the accounts department and the letting agency. To put the cherry on the cake we were told that there is parking outside the building reserved for our apartment, only to find out when we move in that mon-fr 9am-5pm we cannot park our car outside the building because someone in the building runs there business from here and needs the spaces for customers so we have to pay for additional road parking!

Dear Sir/Madam,

The complaint that you have raised on this site has been investigated internally by the Associate Director of Jacksons Mr. Nick Hignell. He has asked me to formally apologise to you for the service you received, the mistakes that occurred in the process of your move in to a property were unacceptable and are not acceptable to Jacksons. As a result of this, the person who you dealt with a Jacksons is no longer with the company. Jacksons expects a certain level of service to be given, the type of service that we are renowned for and won us five awards at the recent Estate and Letting agents awards. When this is not done, as customers of ours I am sure you expect us to act.

If you wish to contact me about this matter please do so at [email protected]

Regards,

Simon A. Scott
