They rent out to anyone and rent from dodgy landlords as long as james makes money he doesnt care. have a bad reputation now for it. I was thrown out by my landlord as his father kept wondering in my garden and once as far as i know in my house. Landlord was a complete bully i was single with a 18month child and used to wait for me to get out of my car to harrass me , james knew about this and still rented out for him even though he told me to leave as he broke our contract and knew he has a record for assalting his father and ex girlfriend which i had to live next door to. He gets some1 new every 6 months which he has a reputation for only renting his house to single parents and never giving their deposit back. Heard that russell james are so deperate for money as the other business had closed down. They have a bad reputation for not bothering who they rent to or from. worse thing i ever did was rent from there heard off unhappy landlords also who have stopped using them as they rent to anyone

We have noticed this review and find it quite a disturbing review. Upon investigation within our staff we have ascertained which tenant this is and property she rented, based upon her story about the Landlord accessing her garden etc. The property in question was an unmanaged property - as in we found the tenant, undertook references and signed the tenancy agreement then the Landlord himself had all dealings with the tenant from there on throughout the tenancy. A few months after move in the tenant attended our office advising that her housing benefit was going to be paid to us as opposed to her landlord by an error at Salford Council Housing Benefit, upon receiving this payment we immediately paid her the amount so that she could bring her rent up to date, subsequently she attended our offices asking advice based on how her Landlord was behaving, entering the property without consent, not undertaking property repairs and generally being a nuisance Landlord and not allowing her a peaceful time in the property, her Landlords parents lived next door. At this point she advised us that the Landlord had a criminal record for assault to various family members, we have no knowledge of any criminal activity with the Landlord apart from what the tenant advised us about. Our advice was to serve notice to quit and move on so that she was not being placed in such a precarious position and to safeguard herself if indeed the situation was occurring. This tenant and Landlord had a turbulent relationship with each other and both parties parted company. The Landlord held the deposit and as such we have no knowledge of whether the Landlord returned the deposit or not. This tenant has made various reviews on various websites using various alias' to hide herself behind. Because we did not manage the property we did not make any charges throughout the tenancy. The Landlord for this property had always previously found their own tenants and this was the first time we undertook any instructions on this property and accordingly after this tenant vacated the Landlord secured a tenant themselves and we have had no further dealings with either party.
