[[EDIT ORIGINAL START]]
1 year in total with Belvoir, we decided to go with them because they seemed to have some of the newer properties covered here in Peterborough. Funnily enough they were extremely nice at the very beginning to get you to sign up and spend a year with them. I do remember thinking that their admin costs were a bit insane, considering the types of workers they had.. all of which; surely do not have any GCSEs.
Now.. during the rental, we had a whole year whereby we had to use our immersion to heat up water as there was a fault with our economy7 system, we made several attempts to get this rectified, but nothing ever came of it. After a while I kinda gave up trying until I got a whoppa of an electricity bill thanks to using the immersion the whole time. So, I tried again, but this time there was some hope (I can't remember the details here but I think I may have started holding the rent back by this time so that they would call me, that's how you get things done; you play them at their own game) - they ended up sending someone over, who looked at it and told us it was a simple "temp safety switch" that needed to be reset! Can you imagine having to use an immersion for a year when the fix was open a box, flick a switch?! Argh, Belvoir Peterborough, you do not know how frustrating you are.
So, it then comes move out day - we're moving because we've been told the rent is going up - but we're still trying to pay off the electricity bill (things are basically tight financially). So I check out the local listings, low and behold same place, lower cost online, but we're expected to pay more for it... nice Belvoir, nice.
Move out day was pretty funny actually, they sent someone over for the final inspection while I was doing the clear out ready to move. I was pretty shocked - so was she, although she was one of the nicer ones. They sent her out on the wrong date, good stuff again Belvoir.
It then comes to final inspection and costs out of our deposit.. They charge us for all-sorts that they hadn't even done - I know this because I have photographic evidence of certain things. One is brilliant.. charged something like
