Incompetent, Deceitful, and morally reprehensible Con Merchants - Avoid at all costs.
If you are a landlord don’t give them your property. My experience:
- charged me for check-in inventory but ignore inventory when property is handed over
- deducted money for quarterly checks - they don’t do this.
- rarely respond to calls or emails
- miss monthly payments
- reduce rent arbitrarily. Sent email to all landlords using COVID as an excuse to reduce rent - claiming COVID has impacted rent paid to them. That was a deplorable lie. LAs were still paying full rent for properties and that's who Hyde rent your property to.
Refunded money to some landlords who complained to the local authority. I eventually got my property back after a complaint to the local authority who placed tenant.
- once they hand your property back, they ignore comms for payment of the balance due or any money owed.
- Items missing or damaged when a tenant moved out?, Hyde won’t respond.
FAO local authorities - landlords will bombard you when they are unable to get a response or their due rent from Hyde. This is all the time.
PS - if you are landlord experiencing problems with Hyde, my advice is to ask your tenant which council placed them and contact their housing department and/or follow their complaints process, write to Chief Executive, The Mayor, Leader of the council, etc.
