The shining light in this establishment is Matt brooke. He is profesional and honest in his work. The flat however was not in a good state on handover. As part of the tenancy agreement, the flat was supposed to be professionally cleaned. However on moving in the state of the flat was terrible. The toilet was broken / locks broken / window broken. the floors where dirty, dirty torn linen was left in bin nags, yellow stains in the toilet. Stains on the furniture, dirty carpets. I was extremely angry since I am paying 1680 PCM for a flat that is uninhabitable. The management staff at Madley where not interested in fixing the problems, advising to wait for the landlords response before fixing the flats significant deficiencies, this is completely unacceptable since the tenant pays the price while they just wait. Matt Brooke however has gone out of his way to try and help and has been very helpful, I wish the same could be said about the management staff. Why dont they check the flats they rent out to tenants before they hand the keys? Surely this is an important part of quality control. I can rant on forever, but I have to go and clean the flat that madley gave me. I am not a happy tenant and Madley have not kept their promises. The shining light and silver lining however is Matt Brooke, without him, this company has nothing positive to mention.
What agent could do to change your mind?
1- Inspect the flat before handover
2- Clean the flat to a high standard
3- Fix outstanding problems before handing over to the tenant
4- Promptly fix any problems that the tenant highlights without finding excuses and creating delay.
5- Have a positive attitude and caring about tenant satisfaction since this is a major part of the business that they run
