I'm not normally one to write reviews, but my experience with NoAgent was so appalling I wouldn't want anyone to use them:
* When I first went for a viewing of a flat with them, I waited for half an hour and no one showed. I rang their office and told me the agent had cancelled it, but they did not tell me.
* We got a fixed year tenancy with them. We decided to move at the end of this. They sent me a new tenancy document to sign in the final month (which we didn't sign) and when this came through I rang no agent the confirm we were not extending the tenancy, which they said 'thank you for letting us know, we'll update our system.' 6 days before the end of the tenancy, I received an email saying we needed to give a months notice to end the tenancy, and that we would be charged rent until we do, and that if I gave my notice now, we'd have to pay an extra months rent. Firstly, if we did extend the tenancy (which we clearly didn't because of the phone call I gave them about a month before) this didn't give us enough time to give the months notice, so we were almost obligated to pay. Secondly, they'd told the landlord that we were staying there, meaning she would have an empty flat. Thirdly, noagent we're convinced we had said we were staying, which I still have no idea why. After a week of trying to sort this, it got to the point where myself, my flatmate and the guarantor asked for proof that we'd agreed to stay. 15 minutes later, we had a phone call from them saying they had had a 'mix up'. Me and my flatmate were extremely stressed that week, and there was no reason for it.
* Absolutely atrocious communication with tenants, landlords and even others that work there. While trying to deal with the extra rent situation, I was told many different things.
* Every time I rang to speak to someone about these situations, I was told (many times) that they'd mark the call as urgent and ring me beck straight away. I almost never got a call back and when I did it was many days later (which was incredibly stressful as we desperately needed to clarify the rent situation).
* After all this, we heard nothing about our deposits (after being told it would take UP TO 10 working days to receive it). When I finally got through to someone (after ringing, emailing and even messaging my landlord to see if they knew anything) I was told they were waiting for a cleaning quote. It then took over 2 weeks after that to receive the quotes. It actually got to the point that I was more bothered about not having to deal with noagent anymore rather than getting our money back. We got our deposit over a month late.
Honestly, I would tell everyone to avoid noagent. I would not like anyone to go through what myself and my flatmate went through.
