Currently using their property 'management service' which I advise against.
The property manager in charge did not even know what floor the flat was on, when I mentioned 'It is a basement flat after all.." she exclaimed "I didn't know, that makes sense now"
Whilst I understand staff cannot physically view all properties a basic thing like that is essential especially when the address has an A after the number or to at least ask??
The aforementioned 'Manager' then went on a 2 week leave in the middle of a situation without informing us despite my speaking to her 2 hours before her leaving to tell her I would be emailing instructions officially ,to then get an out of office email. Very unprofessional.
At present a letter has officially been written to the CEO who has passed it onto as Associate Director to deal with..
He is not dealing with it in a satisfactory manner either, when I tried to make an appointment to meet him he has said a phone call is better. I will be turning up at Head Office to speak to him as matter have reached a point where they have failed in a duty of care to me as a client in their contractual obligations in regards to their attempt to manage my property.
Also they take all the years fees upfront so you get no rent really for the first 2 months, this makes it hard to challenge them as they have been paid for a years work before they even start.
What agent could do to change your mind?
There is a short time frame for Marsh and Parsons to redeem themselves and show they are capable of dealing with situations professionally.
In this case for the Manager to actually visit the property, less than a mile from the office,
The office to take responsibility for their inactions and actions,
To advise constructively on the next stages and how to proceed,
To suggest solutions and worst case scenarios,
To remember the landlord is the client and is paying your wages not the tenant.
