After several years, I am in the process of leaving my studio. The relations with the landlord have been good, and they have offered a positive reference for my next rental, but they have hired Moving Inn to show the flat to prospective tenants. According to my letting contract, I must be given 24 hours notice before my landlord or their agents enter my flat, unless in the case of emergencies. When they started showing my place, they just began showing up with clients whenever they wanted. I requested (via the landlord) that they send me a text the day before they showed up so that I could be out of the house. They initially started doing this but have since gone back to coming whenever they wish. Since they have keys, I have no way of preventing this. When I complain, the various agents (there are many and they don't seem to communicate with one another) claim that they tried to contact me, but when I demand proof of the text they allegedly sent, they are unable to provide it.
From what I can discern, the agent that makes the 'sale' gets the 'finder's fee' - thus, it really is just a cowboy operation that will do anything to get that commission.
What agent could do to change your mind?
To treat tenants with respect.

Comment on agent fees
I paid 200 to the agency for them to introduce me to the landlord.

We are very sorry to hear you had bad experience with Moving Inn.
Please be advised, when landlord instructed us to market your property we have sent you written confirmation of all agents names and Moving Inn contact details in case you had any queries.
We understand that bringing clients might be an inconvenience for the existing tenant, however, it is our job to find a new tenant and until we received an offer we have to continue with viewings.
Please note the property was in high demand especially due to perfect location and good rental price, therefore, we had a great number of people ready to view it asap.
One of our clients was arriving for outside London, therefore, we contacted you on the day to ask for your permission to go in with short notice.
We have never entered your flat without your permission.
Please do not hesitate to contact us on 0208 761 0830 to discuss this in more detail.
We wish you all the best.
