WORST ESTATE AGENT IN THE WORLD. Got a flat with Foxtons not long back and from DAY 1 Gas leak Boiler breaks Tv sockets broken both bathroom ventilators dont work lights dont work leaking from radiator in spare room, carpet ruined Mould growing in rooms without ventilator, and what annoys me the most is that Foxtons purposely HID the dehumidifier in the cupboard when i viewed the flat so i wouldn't have any knowledge the ventilation for the flat was clearly bad!!!! Rent is so high and it...

If you can avoid dealing with Foxton you should. Yes they tend to have very good properties, and that's why we were their customer for the last three years having leased a great flat listed under Foxton back in 2014. But if you are choosing between two similar flats and one agency is Foxton, go with the other agency because you will most likely get better value for money, service, and less pain. In practice, Foxton has a mixed reputation at best, but do read the negative reviews carefully...

Unreasonable fees which are the highest of any agency we have come across in London. Then there is the high renewal fee. We had to pay Foxton about 100 pounds per renewal for their zero value add. They take zero responsibility for flat issues, not even able to provide advice when our hearing broke in winter. Basically they only show up to make a sale and collect payment.

The worst agency ever!! They don't care about you one bit, everything takes ages for them to process and you have to speak to different persons every time. No one knows anything and they are not interested in helping you after you have signed the contract. Don't be fooled by the nice reception and because they are the biggest agency. Only had trouble with them. I had to wait two months to get my deposit back because "they couldn't get an answer from the landlord". They ...

The day I was supposed to get the keys for my apartment I've been told that even though I paid the first month of rent and the deposit (3500£ of deposit!!!) they couldn't give me the keys because they still had to process the payment. To be clear, I sent them the receipt of the bank transfer in large advance. Now I have to sleep in a hotel for who knows how long while they "process the payment". I will not rent with them again and I wouldn't suggest them to a frie...

I'd love to give 0 stars actually. It was the very worst experience we've ever had in terms of renting. Lying about the property, no service whatsoever from the moment we rented the place. When there were problems with the heating in winter, our emails were simply forwarded to the landlord to deal with it, which was a pain. Very disappointed....

ur experience with foxtons has been nothing short of stressful, agonising and downright frustrating! Our property manager would constantly ignore our emails. We asked for the gas safety certificate multiple times as this is a requirement and we also asked for the inventory TWICE and never received it. When we moved in our dishwasher was broken and this was tripping the electricity for the whole flat which could have been extremely dangerous, and yet, it took many many chaser emails and 3 mont...

Foxtons Tenancy Department is without a doubt the worst run and most frustrating group of people I have ever had the misfortune to have to deal with. I cannot fathom how it can take them a month to respond to an e-mail. That was the one that they did respond to, the others went unanswered. Calling them is futile. Unpleasant attitudes and basically just reading lease terms to you with no ability to process anything that does not fit into their computers response ! I only wanted to suggest that i...

As an agent - having worked at Foxtons in the past. It sounds like you got a bad landlord, not an agent. Landlords holding off on signing agreements to find better offers or a sales tenant is unfortunately fairly prevalent! The reason Foxtons takes your monies due and gets a signed agreement is that this is then binding and there is no going back - this is exactly because of what has happened to you, so your complaint is actually fairly contradictory. More often than not, the landlord is telling ...

Dishonest, disorganised and overall an awful experience over the 2.5 years I lived in a flat I rented through Foxtons. Only saving grace was that they didn't manage the property. Fees are outrageous and make no sense. £165 for checkout? For me to turn in my keys? £96 for lease renewal? Nothing ever makes sense and no one can ever explain it. Managers are aggressive. They conned me into signing the lease in an agents car in the dark so I didn't lose the flat. Worst experienc...

After arriving to London I primarily was using the services of Foxtons to search for properties. After putting in offers two times to Foxton managed properties which were then accepted by the landlords of the properties I would receive calls within 24 hours that the landlord suddenly changed their minds and decided to go with another client. Foxtons both times offered little to no apologies and said it was the way of the market and rarely happened and then would go on to offer me no aid in searc...

This agency, or more specifically, this young agent Petras Zudys, did everything to make my first living experience in London as bad as possible. While renting a room from abroad, we wanted to have a close friend to visit the object before moving in. After having seen a flat that is in the same block, but not the flat we were going to rent, the agent still started to claim. that we have already visited the flat. After asking for another visit for this flat, he built a big story around it, sayin...

So I might need your experience on my matter. As I have been bullied and pressured into signing a contract which led me to pay £2000 because our agent said another party was looking and ready to sign the property and pay. Once I've put in the money, I couldn't transfer more and so we didn't proceed the contract. And now, we want out but our agent is refusing to hand us our £2000 back. Is this right? Because technically we didn't sign a contract. ...

Had the get it professionally cleaned myself even though tenant was supposed to do as part of the contract. Did not return my bills letters to me which led to fine for late payment. Sad to say this has been a truly horrible experience in letting my lovely house out to Foxtons. Tenants sourced by Foxtons have been very disruptive and left the house in a very poor state and I'm now battling with Foxtons to have the house adequately cleaned since their departure. I was unable to view the house I let in person because I arranged it from abroad. The photos they showed me were misleading, and the house was damaged, dirty, and mouldy.
