Rebranded company name form solitaire to Om to first port, same useless overpriced service received over 12 years. Property and estate in disrepair min input max cost. A 1 bed flat in Kent costing over 2000 pound annually. Day light robbery and 40 % higher than the first year. They don't know their elbows from their bums and are only interested in making money. What a bunch of rip off merchants! They are the factors for the development of flats in Edinburgh which we have just sold and do not deserve even the 1 star but had to give this. We have had the most awful experience with this company. The level of service is unsatisfactory to say the least and horrifying at worst . Complete incompetence! I'm honestly lost for words - FirstPort are possibly the most incompetent, useless company I've ever come across... I reported a roof leak just over five weeks ago and it still hasn't been fixed - despite many emails and phone calls. It's been raining throughout the five weeks, so the damage being done to my flat is getting worse and worse. They're unprofessional, blundering morons and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone....

*They systematically wrecked the development I bought a studio apartment in as an investment. At one point there were no services whatsoever, the council had to intervene as the grass was 3ft high. After being charged the earth for no service the residents voted for self management some 12 years ago. This was agreed with the Property Management company just paying for the public liability insurance and the electricity bill for two street lights. We have self managed the communal areas and driveway for a fraction of the costs we were being charged. This recent job Purchase Order of ‚£600 for a job we had carried out for less than ‚£100 demonstrates excessive charges and justifies self management.

This company is awful. You try to resolve issues and no responses. The manager of each complex decides what happens to your money invested in building. No door mats around as of health and safety but got flower vases through out the building even on fire exits!! One lift so if there is a fire or it breaks, you have to walk up the stairs. Truly awful. You pay a fortune and get nothing. We currently don't even have a designated property manager for our flats as the previous one (the 5th in as many years) has left and not been replaced. Run for the hills. These people are happy to take your money but will not repair or do any maintenance needed. I have been chasing now for several months for a maintenance issue and have been fobbed off every time. Do not purchase accommodation if they are managing the property. Extortionist charges for their services....

Absolutely dreadful service. The management of the property is clumsy, expensive and with delays. They charge us a full time salary for an onsite caretaker, who is actually working on call for several other properties. They don't reply to complaining e-mails, when you talk to them on the phone they are patronising, rude and trying to intimidate complainers....

I agree they are robbers and totally useless - and support the review re NEVER ever buy a property if they were managing it - we should ensure that the estates agents know this and make it a point of enquiry to know before even going to look at a property....the more we highlight these scoundrels the better!!....

This company re-branded from their previous name, OM Property. This was presumably because that name had become so toxic (ranked at the bottom of in excess of 18,000 companies). Unfortunately the rebrand has not extended to changing their work practices. I have lived at my property for 2 years and 3 months. First port have NEVER completed any work whatsoever on the communal areas adjacent to my property as they are contracted to do. They have admitted to this and are completely aware of it....

Just shocking - avoid like the plague - if they are already 'managing' your block talk to other leaseholders and get rid of them - you really will not have a good experience - just read the other reviews on this website - they can rename as much as they like but it's still the same shocking outfit. Firstport (Peverel) Have to be the worst company I have ever dealt with, rubbish service, penny pinching, rouges. Its.makes.my blood boil typing this. My property was managed by First Port. They are the worst ever. They refuse to send bank statements and when you finally get them after many months they are all in code. They have taken money twice for many invoices. They refuse to admit their mistakes. Formerly called OM Management who were complete thief's in raiding reserve funds from service accounts and overcharging on a regular basis this was proved when they took me to a County Court and they lost and ended up paying all solicitors charges and paid over£10,000 back to service account. This is the worst estate agents ever!!! This firm was formally called OM Property Management, do your research! We gave them £2500 deposit for our flat in London and their dirty scum bag hands tried to take £1500 of it! We left the flat absolutely immaculate and they fabricated damages to try and take money of our deposit. We took them through the governments TDS scheme and managed to get back £900. Denise is the most crude and arrogant individual i have done business with. Poor estate agent etiquette and she has no understanding of her clients at all. I would highly recommend staying away from this company as a whole.

They actually tried to scam us out of our deposit for things that did not exist. Please do your research, and be sure to take lots of photos before hand.

I believe this case was one where the outgoing tenants created significant damage and mess ,did not clean the property and did have money deducted from their deposit via TDS. unfortunately where we had to contract work to repaint whole walls because of damaged caused by nails being banged into them TDS decided that the tenants were only responsible for the areas affected . Therefore the amount claimed on behalf of the landlord (not for ourselves) was reduced. The property was left with condom....
