Great if you're the landlord....awful if you're the tenant. I ended up getting my own references sorted despite having paid out for Countrywide to do this. They dodnt confirm my move in date until THE DAY i moved in and refused to allow me extra time to move my stuff out of the last house (also Bridgfords)saying they would need to charge mr a whole months rent for that privelige. Pre-moving in process was absolutely awful. Submitted all information well in advance of our moving in date, sorted out guarantors where we were told to. 2 days before the moving date, Bridgefords announced that we needed ANOTHER guarantor (they had previously said the person in question wouldn't need one) and that they were still waiting on references etc. The day before moving in we were told everything was fine and that they'd received all the references. Worst estate agents ive dealt with. My room flooded they refused access to my landlord unless it was by letter. They even got a forensic scientist in to say that my flat was habitable so I had to live in a stripped out flooded concrete shell for over a month....

Appalling service. As a landlord their fees are extortionate. Their service levels are dreadful. They never call back when phoned and e-mails are not responded to promptly. Appalling communication, never phone back, always have to phone them! Been waiting 3weeks now for my Bond back! By law is supposed to take a maximum of 10 days. Everything was done by the letter complete with a signed letter from the landlord to release the bond in full. No-one in the office take's responsibility. Always an excuse! It's a simple process and a two minute job to transfer money! 3 week have passed and still no further forward. Definitely would not recommend!...

We were told we would be called weekly to receive an update- we were never once called and were constantly having to chase them. Just moved into a fully furnished flat managed by Bridgford and the following aren't working; Hoover, washing machine and iron, which I reported and nothing has been fixed yet. I also had a flooding on Saturday (same week I moved in) and I called the emergency number Bridgford supplied me with and all they said is that it would have to wait till Monday considering the flood was ongoing.
