View all comments (2) A professional fee based on a major works cost is to all intents and purposes the same as a commission, and is a conflict of interest as it may incentivise the managing agent not to control tenant's costs. I did not specifically say you charged commissions on everything but you do on major works which is where most of the pain comes from. You fail to comment on the legally required s20 notices. Our costs have risen at least 42% in five years despite inflation being very low. ...
