Do not do any property letting agreements with this company. They only find tenants and when you have trouble they say they don't manage the property. Be careful since they are very deceiving. They make everything sound nice and professional and then you will have to face the worst of the worst inconvenience ever.... and when you need them they are not there....

Never agin will I use Martin & Co. in any capacity. Their main weakness is the reliability of their lines of communication. Only once in two years did someone actually get back to me when they said they would, that was to inform me of the return of the deposit and even this was pretty much on the latest date they could possibly have done so without us contacting the TDS. What agent could do to change your mind?
Do what they say they are going to do, for example if they say they will call back I expect a call back! I don\'t expect to have to chase them up over a week later. They repeatedly made promises that were broken with regards to communication. Have a back up communication system with regards to inspections, a letter sent a week before could be missed/lost. The answering service does not work, either leave people in a queue or actually call people back. Be upfront about changes to fees or have it written into the contract that fees cannot change by a certain percentage/amount (just like it is for rent). Be more willing to apologise, we all make mistakes but don\'t make the customer feel like they are doing something wrogn by compaining, even if you don\'t feek that their complaint is legitimate the customer is slways right!

I have found with this company to be very rude & wasn't worried about helping at all. I had emailed quite a few times to view a property but no one replyed so in the end rang & got told by a very rudely spoken woman that somebody will call me back & never did get a call back & did try a couple more emails because really liked the property so ended up going with another agent that was happy to help...

I also had real problems with this agency. They wanted to give me back only £30 of my £650 deposit due to mould on the inside of our flat! HOW EXACTLY IS THAT OUR FAULT?? They were lucky we didn't complain about health issues to be quite honest! They were just completely inept and only interested in taking our (massively inflated) rent each month! Moved to a private landlord for £170 pm cheaper and MUCH happier! AVOID MARTIN & CO!!!....
