Mark did an excellent job in assisting me buy a property. Negotiating on price is always tricky when competing against others but I felt that while Mark wanted to do the best for the seller he was also honest and straight with me which made the process less stressful....

I just wanted to give some feedback for a couple of people at your Surbiton branch. We sold our flat in Thames Ditton in October. Mark (manager) was very good and kept calm throughout the sales process. Amanda, who although works in the admin section, was outstanding. She covered for Mark whilst he was on holiday. The team were open to see what the property could achieve and didn\'t just go with a book price which others in the area tend to do. Able to get people round to view at short notice and always available on the phone for queries and questions. They sold the house at the right price and we felt the service was great....

Vinesh was a fantastic person to deal with, throughout a long and protracted purchase process. He was calm, kept the chain of five buyers/sellers intact, and kept us informed every step of the way. This was a particularly difficult purchase for many legal reasons out of our control. Lords and in particular Vinesh played a vital part in negotiating directly with the sellers, rather than going through the snail-paced (and therefore very expensive) lawyers. Caitriona was excellent in liaising with all parties involved in the purchase (her client and both sets of solicitors) and continually kept me up to date with the progress of the purchase. She would always respond to any queries or concerns that I had, and did her best to speed up some of the delays that were encountered in the process. During my purchase of the property I found Mark and Caitriona very helpful and supportive. I also found that Jamie was very helpful when Mark was away on leave. The Surbiton team is unique in that they give you a comfort feeling by not putting any pressure on you to buy. I saw many properties and they left it to me to decide if I want to buy or not. Although I was buying a property and was not their client, Lords treated me with great courtesy. I never felt pressurised by them nor did they give me the usual rubbishy sales spiel that other agents delight in. What I got from Caitriona at the viewings were facts, plain and simple. I viewed two properties at separate times with Caitriona and when I didn\'t like the first one, no pressure was put on me to buy. I am very satisfied with the experience of selling my house via Lords and Mark Eke. All contact was handled professionaly from the original valuation through to completion. My property sold on the first day of viewings, following an open day with 23 couples viewing. I secured a good price and was happy with the guidance provided by Mark. Great, honest and personal service from all the guys at Lords, Brighton Road, Surbiton. We had experience of selling with another agent, and Lords\' service was much better. The feedback from potential buyers was always submitted quickly and we felt we were kept in the loop throughout. Would highly recommend the team there, and would look to sell with them again in the future....

Fees

Agreeing the Right Fee at Lords Estate Agents:

Because we are an independent agent, we are delighted to be able to offer a range of commission fee options to suit our customer's needs. These can range from percentage based fees to fixed fees but one format which has proved extremely popular with our clients, is gearing the level of commission we are paid to the price we achieve for the property. We are always happy to put a personal proposal together for each customer when they are ready to move.

As a general guide, our Sole Agency fees are usually at 1.25% and our Multiple Agency fees are 2.5%

The fees that we charge will always be agreed with our customers before marketing commences and will always be confirmed in writing. Please note that our fees are subject to VAT.

Complaints Procedure

THE LORDS PARTNERSHIP LIMITED trading as (LORDS ESTATE AGENTS) COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE         


1. Lords Estate Agents, is a Member of The Property Ombudsman (TPO), and aims to provide the highest standards of service to all of its customers. To ensure that their interests are safeguarded and in the rare event that a problem arises, a complaints procedure has been introduced. This provides for the matter to be dealt with internally by the management of the Company, and in the event that we are not able to deal with the issue to the mutual satisfaction of both parties, by reference to The Property Ombudsman.         

2. If you believe you have a complaint, please write in the first instance to The Managing Director at:
The Lords Partnership Limited
56-58 Wood Street
Kingston upon Thames
Surrey, KT1 1UW

          3. A complaint will wherever possible be acknowledged within 24 hours but no longer than 3 working days, investigated thoroughly in accordance with established in-house procedures and a formal reply will be sent within 15 working days of receipt of the complaint.

          4. If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome of our initial investigation, they are provided with a further opportunity to have the complaint reviewed by another of the Lords Directors by writing again to the address shown above.

         5. In the event that the final review as detailed above still fails to satisfy the complainant, then the complainant is at liberty to have the matter referred to the Property Ombudsman. We will submit our file to the Ombudsman on request and subject to consent. The complainant is also entitled to have their complaint referred to the Ombudsman should we fail to deal with matters promptly or not complied with our in-house complaints procedure within 8 weeks from the date we receive a written notification of the grievance.
