Having lived abroad for 11 years in Spain, our family had decided to return to Bristol. Knowing the area well (having been to school and university in Bristol) we started our house hunt in August 2015, our aim was to be living in Bristol by August 2016 ready for the start of the September school term. The first few weeks seemed promising, there were several houses of interest, one was interesting enough to arrange a viewing in late Aug. Unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. Come De
By far the worst experience I have ever had. I have interest in a paticularly property so I called the Hamstead Branch, at the time I spoke to Harry. He confirmed he would arrange an appointment to view the property and get back to me later that day. 3 days later and 3 messages later no contact from anybody at the Hamstead Branch , I decided to call the branch again! Harry came on the phone and advised me he has not heard from the owner of the property and he would contact me as soon as he heard
We rented an unfurnished house and they just did their inventory on the day of our move in date. They told us that the house was professionally cleaned but did not pass according to their standard. I argued that they should have done this a week before our move in date and they only gave us the key to the house at 4pm on the start of our move in date. The agent said that we could move in and see if we are ok with the cleanliness of the house but if not, they can ask the landlord to have it clean
as a 22 year old woman renting from martin & co has been the worst thing I've done. I've had nothing but problems from the day we moved in! i rented a flat from them everything seemed to be fine until we moved in half of the light bulbs didn't work and the dish washer was completely burnt out.. i had the dishwasher looked at and informed the agency and the landlord directly up on her visit and was told if i wanted it to work i had to pay to fix it! the landlord also told me she payed for all the
I recently bought my first property through Horlers.
I'm sure like most people, I found this to be a stressful experience, especially since we were expecting our first child and our landlord had given us notice on our rented accommodation.
We were initially hoping to have been moved in before the birth and Horlers indicated that this was feasible but due to circumstances outside their control, in the end it took around 4 months and we ended up having to move from rented accommodation to p
Landlords be aware and don't go anywhere near this estate agency. I let out a property via them for over 7 years (to the same tenant) and during that period of time they only carried out half a dozen inspections when they should have carried out 28. This resulted in the tenants being able to make significant changes to my property without anyone's knowledge. When I challenged Urban Bases about this and requested a partial refund of the fees they had charged me, they fabricated inspections report
DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENTS!!!
I have never known a place which such bad customer service and that con you as much.
We rented a flat for a year we complained various times about the damp and that the bathroom had no extractor fan they never once did anything!!
A year down the line we come to move out apart from the damp the flat was immaculate even out of the good out of our hearts got the carpets cleaned even though they didnt need it we just thought it would be nice to refresh them.
We've used Clive for about 18 mths for our small portfolio of rental properties and we are very pleased that we chose him.
We found Clive through his weekly newspaper column which we liked. On meeting him, we were very impressed with Clive's practical, hands-on approach. We also felt that his approach to letting and to finding and looking after tenants matched our own.
Previously we used one of the large High Street Agencies and were dissatisfied with the results and value for money. We found
i agreed to let a property via Julie Twist but had some T&C's as the apartment was shabby but the location was just what i needed. My request was it needed a re paint and the carpets needed changing as they had been eaten by moths. I had to wait a month for this work to be done which was fine and was agreed.
On the move in date Helen agreed i arrived to meet Helen but she was off so Jack stepped in (he couldn't of been more helpful and is a great employee so i don't want this negative review to
We had a nightmare with our 1st agent....initially opting to put our house on the market with a well established high street agency.... this turned out to be a huge mistake as they were very bad at managing our sale, bad at keeping us informed & we felt they were very 'economical' with the truth & low on their list of priorities. Although they found us a buyer they ended up loosing this buyer through bad management and we had then wasted several months. We immediately switched agents to The Prop
