What can I say, Phillip is just amazing! The process of renting is always stressful and I have come up against estate agents who have hindered instead of helped me along. Phillip is the exact opposite; attentive, understanding, and always on hand. It was such a pleasure to work with him and I don't say that lightly. So far it has been terrible! First they changed the contract after I signed a first copy and paid the first month and deposit. I was promised that I would have been provided with a signed letter from the landlord stating that I would have had an additional year after the end of the term at the same price (letter never arrived and when I reminded I didn't get any answer from them). Dear Michele I am very sorry to hear you have had such a bad experience with Hurford Salvi Carr. We do list customer care very highly within our organisation and have systems and procedures to deal all types of queries and problems. If problems cant be rectified internally the we have a formal complaints procedure which ultimately is dealt with by the property ombudsman. We assumed we had a solid professional relationship with HSC, but they suddenly refused to return a holding deposit owed to us. I have been using agents in the E14 area for many years to manage my portfolio of properties. I had heard of HSC but had never previously used them. I appointed them on one of my properties and very quickly made them my lead agent. The staff cant do enough for you and the company from the very top appear to be exceptionally customer focused. This agent is horrible. They give you ridiculous excuses to delay taking action when repairs and problems arises and requested. Few excuses such we lost the email/s, we only have your foreign number (that is after they have been updated numerous times and renting at the same property for 3 years), or they do not reply at all. They do not care at all about the tenants. You will be left hanging for weeks without any updates on your problem. They can\'t be bothered if your toilet is broken, boiler ...

It is simply a scandal that a large sum of flat owners\' cash that is paid to secure a high standard of maintenance to their homes is held by unregulated and unprotected managing agents such as HSCPM, who seem to think it is acceptable to introduce fees and penalties as and when it suits them, using an \'excuse\' every time referring to the Leasehold agreement, which in itself was derived from the Commonhold provisions in the 2002 Act which was itself poorly drafted and due for reform. I\'ve never actually been that compelled to write a review for anything before. So well done HSC you have actually won the award for being that horrific that I feel the need to tell everyone else! I have rented properties for 13 years now and never have I had such resistance and shocking customer service from another letting agent in all my life. They NEVER ever return phone calls. Following a extensive search, we found a flat via HSC and Alex was the staff member who showed the flat. He repeatedly failed to deliver the service that he promised, missing appointmets and not getting repaired broken furniture. The flat was dirty and as we couldn\'t occupy the flat (no keys) we were refunded a weeks rent, however with no apology or acceptance of fault. The tenancy was uneventful in spite of the baliffs arriving to take posessions to cover debts of the landlord. We a still wait...

The letting agent is very helpful. I would rate 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who is looking for housing in London. In contrast, the property management service is very poor. The response from the management team is not useful. When you send them an email regarding the maintenance, they will reply you with an automatically generated message, without any further information. Jacqui was particularly helpful in relaying our thoughts on the proposed rent to the landlord. We must have viewed the flat about five times in the course of securing the tenancy and each time, Jacqui attends the flat punctually. She is also extremely friendly. Both Jacqui and Kerry were prompt in responding to our requests eg sending acrocss .pdf versions of the tenancy agreement and floor plans. Highly recommended....

We found the agent to be very efficient and quick when dealing with our tenancy agreement. Everything was sorted out very easily without any difficulty. When its came to moving in, we were met by the inventory lady. Unfortunately, we weren\'t given enough information at this point, eg. no post box key, no pin code for bin, so that would be my only criticism....

I have really liked the way Hurford Salvi Carr handled the whole process. We had a very fast and reliable service, and Jacqui, the agent, always replied our questions swiftly and very kindly. All the aspects of the moving in process have been carefully handled for us, and even after we moved in, Hurford Salvi Carr kept being responsive to all our enquiries. A worse \'service\' could not have been provided if they tried. Failed to open bank accounts to recieve a service charge, then issued late payment penalties. New point of contact seemd to be introduced every few weeks. Maintenance issues roundly ignored. Rude staff. Massive anomolies in accounting processes, thousands of pounds unaccounted for from service charge budget. Even basic cleaning services not carried out....
