Daniel Southgate failed to check landlord had consent to let property which I rent. When I found out there was a problem I asked for confirmation the consent was in place, after six or seven emails over a week I still haven't had a straight answer! Not sure if he actually understands the significance, he originally attempted to advise it wasn't important. Very unprofessional, not to be trusted....

I had a terrible experience with this EA and wish to advise that prospective buyers of property should beware of them. On first occasion an offer on a property was made and accepted. On Second day it was rejected and then on the third day again i was contacted that vendor is ready to sell the property and will give an offer letter. But unfortunately after two day i called them again and they informed that it was rejected again. To my surprise the EA called me to put an offer which he suggested a...

Dear Glenn, I am disappointed and surprised to read that you were unhappy with the way your offer was handled, as a company we pride ourselves on having a a very good reputation. Offers at the moment are plentiful and the vendor may well change their mind as other offers come in, however clearly it is difficult for me to comment without knowing the full details. If you could please contact me on 020 8912 0006 or danielsouthgate@brian-cox.co.uk, I would be more than happy to look into this mat....

I recently sold my home through Brian Cox and I must say how impressed I was with the way they dealt with me from start to finish. Mark Howell valued my property in January and he had the decency to call me every so often to keep me updated on how the market was improving. In the end I actually put my house for sale with another local agent(recommended by a friend) and Brian Cox.. the agent had 3 viewings in the first week while Brian Cox had over 20! No exaggeration! After two weeks I dis-inst...

I had a traumatic experience with this EA and wish to advise that prospective buyers of property should beware of them. On first occasion an offer of a property was made to me, I got survey booked and an offer of mortgage ready for contract but to my surprise the EA called me that the sale would no longer be possible. On another occasion I was made to top the asking price by £10,000 on a property and compelled to use their solicitors as a condition to get the property. Later on the survey...

You cant always blame the agent, if the owner asks for more money what can they do? If the owner had decided not to sell then once again there is nothing the agent can do.....

Perhaps Brian Cox is the ideal company for sellers, but from our point of view, buyers should be extremely careful when dealing with this EA. After having an offer declined, what it is perfectly normal, Brian Cox contact us 3 weeks later to inform that the same property was once again available, but would not be marketed; therefore, we were among those who had the chance of going ahead with the purchase. Everything ok, if it wasn\'t for the lack of professionalism of Brian Cox\'s estate agents,...

They could have been honest. It is really said to be given so much hope, when one knows that the negotiation wont go ahead.

we were really interested in one of the property and had agreed on the offer we made in excess which was accepted by both parties but we were made to wait two months. Even after making us wait long the agent ask for more money just because the seller was trying to buy an expensive house so we were told to put up extra £5000 on top of the £5000 we have exceeded to the original price. so in lump sum we were asked to put £10,000 which is a huge money after all our mortgages been f...

1) The most disorganised estate agent, the office doesn't seem to ever communicate with the agents on the road, there have been times when the office has rang to postpone an oppointment and the agent has come knocking later on, asking if the people viewing the property have arrived yet. 2) The other day I had a phone call from Brian Cox office, saying the people viewing the house couldn't make it on the saturday, and we re-arrnaged it for the following tuesday. Come 2pm on Saturday, a knock ...

[[EDIT NEWORIGINAL START]] I was keen on 2 properties around Sud bury hill and Green ford area. After speaking to the lettings manager I was confirmed that ******[1] would show me the property. On the day of the viewing I was confirmed twice with a lady called *****[2] and then *****[3] after waiting for 20 minutes in front of the property and wasting 4 phone calls an intern arrives who does not even know the number of the property. On asking about the next one she shrugs that she has no clue a...

**From the Lettings Manager - Mr Maitra is correct in stating that he had problems with viewings I had set up for him. However I tried many times to apologise to him and ensure that he had no further issues. Find below an e-mail chain between the two of us** Mr. Maitra, Unfortunately on Tuesday I was on my half day away from work, this is the only reason why I had to leave you dealing with somebody other than myself. Generally if I am to make an appointment with someone I would carry out ....
