My experience was with Frost Lettings in Amersham. I’ve seen a property in Amersham town centre and made a competitive offer. The letting agent Karen said she would get back to me the following day but she didn’t. Four days later I enquired whether my offer was submitted to the landlord to which she replied saying the property had already been to someone and that she had concerns that I was not be able to pay the rent.
I was really surprised to hear this considering that we discussed during the viewing that I’m currently paying the same amount of rent that I offered the property advertised by Frost, that my bank statements could prove that, I had significant savings accounts and that I could even pay the rent six months in advance. All of this should have been clear indication that I was able to pay the rent I offered. Karen rejected my offer before I could prove with documents that I was actually able to pay the rent I offered.
To make things worse she then asked me whether I wanted to see a property that was £425 more expensive than the one she had concerns with regards to my ability to pay the rent . So she was so skeptical that I would not be able to pay the rent why did she ask me to see a property whose rent was £425 higher than the one I initially made the offer ?! This makes me believe that my offer was never even shown to the landlord and that she simply gave the property to an acquaintance of hers who made an offer that was lower than mine.
I consider Karen’s behaviour to be unprofessional and dishonest both towards me as a potential tenant denying me the flat although my offer was the highest and towards the landlord depriving them of a rent that was several hundreds pounds higher then the one they accepted.

Be careful with these people. When moving into rented accommodation they did not address any issues that we felt needed to be fixed, simply ignoring our emails. When we moved out, they tried to take money from our deposit to fix issues with the house that already existed before moving in. A deposit should not be there to fix existing maintenance issues. Finally gave full deposit back without accepting any blame and requested I take my factually correct review down.

I have just had the most ridiculous battle to get the entirety of my deposit back despite the fact that it was acknowledged that I was due to receive it back. Despite moving out on 17th July I find myself still chasing an outstanding amount which I was told would be with me over 2 weeks ago. Shameful communication and poor administration. If I was to invoice Frost with a bill for my time spent dealing with their inefficiencies it would be knocking on the door of £1000 by now not to mention the upset caused.
