Worst experience ever!! They charged me £276 for cleaning a ONE BEDROOM flat!!, which after I checked wasn't cleaned in the first place. After going back and forth, providing numerous photographic evidence that the place wasn't cleaned they just stiffened their tone towards me and got frankly very rude. After trying to claim a refund for over 3 months I've decided to give up. Very unprofessional. Very bad communication and very, very doubtful business practices! I can only recommend avoiding JAC!! I am reluctant to call names of people I've dealt with as I dealt with so many and none where any better.

25 Feb 2014Unfortunately the circumstances surrounding this instance are complicated as the Landlord was abroad at the time so wasn't available to see the condition of the property after the Tenant vacated. JAC Stratton's arranged for the cleaning to be done on behalf of the Tenant as it was ultimately the Tenants responsibility / cost to bear from their security deposit . An independent inventory clerk did note that the cleaning had been done but further spot cleaning was needed, which was carried out. Unfortunately the cleaning contractor failed to sign in with the porter upon the initial and subsequent visits which gave the impression that they didn't attend. This Landlord refused to accept JAC Strattons', the cleaning contractors' and an independent inventory clerks' version of events stating that the property had been cleaned some three weeks before the Landlord visited the property. As the Landlord didn't remarket the property there is no way of knowing if anyone went into the property during this 3 week period and the cleaning contractor refused to compensate the Landlord based on this fact. This complaint is a typical example of why Agents receive unwarranted poor press.

3 Jul 2014Hi there my name is duncan kahn please contact me in regards to your mistreatment , i have had the same experience and they were extremely aggressive and are con men , cal me and lets all unite to contact trading standards , youtube videos should be uploaded by customers , i will be doing one immediately . i am taking them to court steve and adam did you reply to this landlord, yeah he must be in the wrong you are thieves . Unprofessional and the worst ecperience of my life dealing with thugs who run a property firm.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
