I had an extremely distressing experience with Martyn Gerrard. On 24th December, he was asked to pay a £507 deposit and was clearly informed that my moving date was confirmed 9th January. He was also told that the referencing process would be very simple. Based on this assurance, I gave notice to my current landlord. Despite fully cooperating with the referencing process and providing all requested documents—bank screenshots, videos, employer confirmations, and company documents—the agency continuously delayed and gave reassurance. From 5th January onward, I was told every day that confirmation would be provided “tomorrow,” which never happened. On 8th January, I urgently asked them to either confirm the tenancy or clearly state that the property would not be given to me so I could protect my housing situation. They failed to do so, leaving me at serious risk of being forced out of my home on 9th January with no alternative accommodation. This situation caused severe stress and anxiety me and my family. Even more concerning, despite their failure to provide the property or proper confirmation, my £507 deposit has still not been returned. This behavior is highly unprofessional, irresponsible, and unacceptable. I feel completely misled and treated unfairly. I strongly advise others to be very cautious before dealing with this company.

Sorry to say I have contacted the ombudsman about the poor service and lack of communication within this company. They do not deal with issues unless you harass them. Fees were acceptable, but one you have signed on the dotted line that's it
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
