Rented our property out with homepoint kingstanding. Seemed to be an average estate agency at first, once tenant moved in it went down hill. Kingstanding doesnt manage the property walsall does, people at both branches are unprofessional. Members of staff passed comments about myself to the tenant, once we found out the manager did speak to the members of staff and we were told the person wont be managing our property anymore. Well that didnt happen we still had to deal with her. The inspections never happened unless we reminded them one was due and we had no call to even let us know how our property was. Then when it came to them forwarding us our rent it was always late and one time they said they never recieved it when the tenant had paid it.(we had to travel over 2 hours from our house to sort this issue out in branch). tenant refused any rent increase and it took them over a month for the estate agents to even update us on this issue. Tenant handed in notice and wouldnt allow us any acess to get the property on the market, again we recieved no correspondence that the tenant had given us notice we found this out from a family member who knew the tenant. Day of move out came. Told tenant still hadnt finished moving, fair enough, end of the business day we were informed they have keys back and tenant has vacated. But the agency is so busy no one can to check out till monday. Was ok as thought they had the keys and it was secure. Well tenant was still in the property and had other keys to get in the house. Yes legally tenant has it till midnight but being dishonest about the house being locked up and all keys handed in. We are 2 hours away, we pay monthly for our house to be managed professional, anything could have happened to our house from friday till monday. Its a joke that no one could even pop round for 5 mins to make sure tenants had secured it properly when they are 2 mins away. Had to change all locks as cant trust agency or previous tenant. A really unprofessional, rude company, memebers of staff dont seem to care about your house, once you pay them money you house is just another number. Staff defiantly need new training, customer service is none existent. Dont trust your house in their hands its too much of a risk when houses are expensive as it is. Thank god the police was able to go and check our house out as for all we knew someone was breaking in to our house as no one should have been there at the time handing 'all keys' to the agency. One joke of a company and vile people work there.
