I was dealing with Christian from Kentish Town. Unprofessional from the start, didnt reply to emails, was unreachable on phone. I was in the process of letting, and after 3 weeks, and my references had been paid for plus first weeks rent held by them in addition to 6 months rent, plus another 6 weeks deposit... they told me I couldnt move in because the electrics were not up to standard and they couldnt persuade the landlord to fix (even though contracts had been signed). THREE days before I am due to move in. Have no other accommodation sorted. Highly unprofessional. He also sent me someone else's passport as an example of the quality he expected me to send - DPA violation.
Bad - took our money then had to refund. Made ridiculous deadlines that they couldn't even stick to themselves!

I expected them to show an interest in setting up a chain with me at the bottom. I expected them to offer my flat to someone on their waiting list, to move forward slowly They relied only in the Internet portals then had 6 people in in one day..one offering, but apparently no one else. The presentation of the offer lacked gravitas, in part because the staff are too young.. I needed to find some where to move to..the cash purchaser was good, but in a hurry, and in today\'s market a first time buyer wold have been a better bet given the difficulty in finding somewhere to go to wrong buyer, poorly managed, by young staff who are in it for a quick kill with no idea of service..
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
